3 months old!

JJ turned 3 months old the day after Christmas. Here he is with his bear and wearing the "big pimpin'" outfit from Uncle Barry & Aunt Roxy! How you doin'.......

Christmas 2007

JJ enjoyed his first Christmas as much as any 3 month old can. Although we missed Amanda and Alan terribly, it was good to have everyone together with power on! Christmas Eve we spent at Nana & Papa's (Matt's parents) and had traditional New Mexican dinner. Christmas Day was spent at Grandad & Grandma's (Tracy's parents) where Santa came. JJ will probably be more aware next year but he still had a great time!

Baby Dedication

Sunday before Christmas we dedicated baby JJ to the church. We didn't snap too many pictures and the ones we have are somewhat dark. Papa has some others that we will add once we get them. JJ was, of course, the best baby at the dedication - he just watched everyone and everything!

2 months old!

JJ is growing like a weed! Here's some pictures with his bear to mark his 2 month birthday. Our plan is to feature this bear in each monthly photo for the first year as a point of reference for how much JJ is growing. This bear was actually Matt's that his mom made for him when he was a baby from his grandmother's quilt. What a nice family heirloom and friend to JJ!

Thanksgiving

We had a full house at Thankgiving and everyone got a turn to hold JJ. Although we missed Aunt Mandy and Uncle Alan, we did a skype call and they had a great time making JJ laugh all the way from Okinawa! What I'd give for still pictures of the faces they made at JJ over the video conference!

JJ's cousin Charlie

Cousin Charlie came to visit from California!! Although JJ wasn't quite big enough to play, the boys had a great time and Charlie was very good to JJ. Next time, they'll really have a blast!!

Bath Time!

JJ has grown a little since his first bath pictures. We can't wait to show these to the first girlfriend he brings over!

Grandma Hawkins

Grandma Hawkins (Matt's Grandma) came down from Wichita to see her great-grandson, JJ. She was able to stay through Thanksgiving but then had to go home. JJ had a great time bonding with her!

Happy Birthday Oklahoma - and JJ!

JJ was born in the same year that Oklahoma turned 100! To celebrate, we attended the Centennial Time Capsule celebration and purchased a brick in JJ's honor for the Centennial Walkway. Here's a few pics of the celebration - JJ can attend the capsule opening in 50 years and be able to say he was "there" when the capsule was closed!
